About

Fresh Oil was birthed to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ through  sound Biblical  teaching and to lead people from all walks of life into a deeper, more meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ. We teach coming TO the Cross for salvation, then going BEYOND the cross into perfection , or maturity, in Christ.
We believe in the finished work of the Cross.  That by one man sin was brought into the world, and by the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ we are given the hope of redemption from sin and eternal life. John 1:12-13 states that “as many as have received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name; which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of GOD.” But it doesn’t stop there! He said He came to give us life, and that life more abundantly.  Old things have passed away, and all things have become new, we are a new creation in Christ Jesus.  Do you know how to LIVE in that new identity?  He who knew no sin (Jesus) became sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in Him!  (2 Cor 5:21) That’s good news!
As we allow the Word of God to transform us, we become more and more like Him, and conform less and less to the world around us.  We become ambassadors of Christ, exemplifying his very nature in this world.  And that’s an amazing gift and responsibility He has empowered us with.  What an incredible journey we are on.  And every day grows more and more exciting as we see what God is doing in His people.
How did we arrive at the name Fresh Oil Ministries?  Two scriptures.  Psalm 92:10 states “… I shall be anointed with fresh oil.”  Another is Numbers 11:8, where it refers to manna having the taste of fresh oil.  If you recall the provision of manna, it had to be collected daily, or otherwise it would be of no use on the second day.  Our relationship with the Lord is the same!  We must have a continual, daily, interactive relationship with God in order to grow into His likeness as he desires first, and then to be filled with His spirit, or anointed, in order to serve those He calls us to minister to.
Over the years our ministry has taken many turns.  From a traditional congregational setting, hosting conferences and three services a week, we have followed the leading of the Lord and have temporarily downsized to Sunday morning worship in a home group setting.  Pastor Kathy comes prepared with a message but is open to the Holy Spirit being in charge and a change of agenda often occurs depending on those in attendance.  Anything can happen, especially if a person arrives with a state of expectancy to see what God will do next.  Most who attend have something to share that God has done in their lives, or a revelation they have been given, and time is allowed for their gifts to operate and mature in the safe setting of the service.  Pastor Kathy occasionally travels and is guest speaker at other churches upon request.
